I know they say the month of March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, but this March has been too much lion, in my opinion! With the snow still melting, I don’t think I’ll be wearing my perfectly envisioned light weight, spring dress or sandals this Easter. No, the winter clothes will have to continue to take center stage this weekend. Now that I think about it, I run into this problem most Easter Sundays. I want to dress for Easter, but it’s just too cold.
This year, I am thinking ahead and it’s going to be all about adding warm, spring-feeling pops of color where possible. Think accessories! I might still be wearing my winter go-to black pants, but I’m going to pair them with a yellow shoe or light blue tassel necklace. Or I’ll search my closet for that bold, yellow blazer I couldn’t leave the store without (still hanging in my closet with tags). It will add a warm color and a layer of warmth to my outfit. Try adding a few spring colors by stacking your rings! Pull out that statement color clutch you bought and have been meaning to use. I also traded my dark colored nail polish for a pale pink this week because it just seemed more spring and Easter appropriate! Now, don’t go crazy with your accessories as you only need a “pop” of color, not five pops, as that will likely make you more closely resemble the Easter eggs your child recently dyed and not the cool, smartly fashioned look for which you were hoping!
